    Hey Lucky,

    I’ve been wanting to book Emirates First for next August. I’ve been watching award availability for a few months now using the Alaska site. I’ve noticed that DXB-LAX availability abruptly stops in mid-June, while is it there almost every day until then. The reverse route stops abruptly in May. Do you know if this is how Emirates usually is? Do they release seats in batches? Please let me know as I’ve already transferred my SPG points to JAL (I know, stupid move.)

    I experienced this a lot last year looking for flight bookings for this year. The summer tends to be when a lot of people leave the UAE due to Ramadan, Eid and the summer heat. it could be the reason why there is nothing or they are holding back. it is a matter i think of just continuing to check or finding a different airport to come home to…
