Comparing new way of getting airline miles to old ways

Comparing new way of getting airline miles to old ways

  1. Anonymous Guest

Most major airlines no longer provide tables to see how many miles one needs for business class tickets for specific regions.

Did anyone publish anything about how this ad-hoc approach (one doesn’t know ahead of time about the number of miles needed for getting a business class ticket and it is a variable) compares to the old ways (that Alaska Air still follows)? What does this mean for consumers: do they need many more miles than before?
