choosing business consultant card

choosing business consultant card

    Hi Lucky,

I’m starting a new job as a business management consultant at one of the MBB firms, and I need to sign up for my corporate American Express card. I can either use the green card for free, or pay the upgrade for Gold or Platinum. Any advice?

I’d check the bonus categories for each type of card and see if it makes sense to pay for the upgrade based on your spending habits. The Platinum card will get you into the Amex Centurion lounges so if those lounges are in airports you frequent perhaps it will make sense to pay the fee.

I would totally pay for the upgrade — you’d then be able to pool those points with any you earned personally on an EveryDay Preferred or something.

    Congrats on the new gig!

Go for the premium cards. They are worth the money.
