Broken IFE

Broken IFE

  1. Anonymous Guest

I was just on a domestic AA flight (DFW-LAX), and the IFE didn’t work for the entire flight. Cabin crew rebooted the system several times, but nothing ever worked (other than the map display). At one point, the lead cabin attendant made an announcement about the IFE and suggested that we complain to AA about it “if you want to be compensated.” Questions: what’s the best way to complain, and what is reasonable to expect as compensation? FWIW, I’m Advantage Gold.

Possibly irrelevant data point: Aircraft was an A321. In chatting with the first officer while deplaning, he was surprised about the problem because “the IFE is something they check every day on the Airbus.”

I would use the contact form on AA.com, that’s typically most efficient. You’ll probably get a couple thousand points, given that it’s a relatively short flight.
