AVIOS to pay BA Award Taxes and Fees

AVIOS to pay BA Award Taxes and Fees

  1. Anonymous Guest

Just received notification from Chase about a new benefit of holding their BA co-branded card which allows cardholder to use AVIOS to pay for taxes, fees and surcharges on award tickets. It requires booking through their 800 number, i.e., not online or through any other booking avenue. No other details have been provided and I haven’t had the time, energy, or inclination yet to call to inquire further. Does anyone have additional details, specifically how many AVIOS to pay for each incremental dollar of taxes and fees, etc.?

I havent heard of this, but I highly doubt it’s worth it. Aeroplan does this and its a terrible value.
