Arik Kumar dragged Etihad’s reputation through the mud.
To the brave Etihad employees who never gave up, despite all the odds, even when those who were supposed to act and put a stop to this misconduct failed to do their jobs: we never backed down, and we never gave up.
Arik Kumar should have been dismissed twice before:
1. In 2023: Following the investigation into him, which was handled internally between EY and certain stakeholders. Instead of meaningful accountability, the matter was kept within those circles and nothing happened.
2. The LinkedIn scandal 2024: The fake LinkedIn account incident should have been more than enough to trigger his dismissal. Yet again, the same people stood in the way and ensured that nothing happened.
3. The turning point: We saw an opportunity when the ownership landscape changed, and we took it. This time, nobody could shield him. And just like that, the man who seemed untouchable was finally shown the door.
Kudos to the brave RevC individuals who stood their ground, refused to remain silent, and continued to stand against what they believed was corruption and misconduct.
You proved that persistence matters, that accountability eventually catches up, and that no executive should be untouchable.
It's been more than 22 days since Arik Kumar received his well-deserved kick 🦵 out of HQ, and I honestly can't believe he's survived this long without LinkedIn or someone constantly telling him how brilliant he is and how good he looks. Must be a serious withdrawal!
Can someone please check whether Arik Kumar is okay and hasn't slipped into a coma? This must be a life-threatening situation if he can't even post on LinkedIn or have someone constantly reassure him about how good-looking and handsome he is.
