AA 1st Class downgrade and a 6 hour delay

AA 1st Class downgrade and a 6 hour delay

  1. Majcar New Member

Our flight back home from LHR to LAX has been delayed 6 hours and along with that we were downgraded to business class. I booked with miles. So advice please on how to get the difference in miles back and would there be any further compensation for the delay? Thanks

Did you book through AA? Then, you’d contact them for a refund on the miles.

Since you originated in London, and were delayed, you could look at submitting for EU261 reimbursement for the delay. Do you know what caused the delay?

Yes we booked through AA. They said it was due to aircraft maintenance.

Got it. Are you familiar with EU 261? This should apply in your situation
