KU is not interested in competing against the ME3, as of now at least. Their strategy caters mostly passengers flying to/from Kuwait and that's pretty evident from their route map.
Although the new Kuwait Airport T2 is opening up in the next couple of years, we might see a strategy shift but as of now, they're banking on the lucrative market of Kuwaiti holiday makers and the expat workers flying in and out of the country. A non-stop option to their final destination instead of flying through one of the major hubs that adds an extra hour or two and most of them don't consume alcohol either. You begin to see that KU makes perfect sense for them.

KU should reconfigure their 777s with those seats, maybe as well as with removing the first class as it really isn't a first class and the airline seem to not trying to improve the soft product, at least based on what's up with them right now.

Also Ben, Qatar Airways is apparently considering about cancelling all their 737-10 MAX orders. I guess the new CEO realised that the B3XMs aren't really a reliable and the order was only placed because of Airbus cancelled their A21N orders?
