FWIW, the amount in my email matches the Hyatt Points I purchased over a month ago

Yes. Your theory holds up. The number of points in the email I received matches a Radisson Rewards transfer I did and the number is my Radisson (not Americas) number.

Thanks for posting. Makes me feel better that it looks like an IT glitch and not a scam.

Thanks for reducing my fears of some suspicious activity. Like many that have echoed it had to with a recent purchase of hotel miles. It's bizzare nonetheless.

I knew something was off with the email listing a different number than my Miles and More number. Didn't realize until I saw this post that it was identical to my Wyndham points purchase last month. Good to know I wasn't hacked and it's just a glitch!

Yes and yes. Matches a small Bonvoy purchase I made last week to keep my points alive.

Your correct.
I got this mail 2 hrs ago,for my hilton to hilton 20,000 points transfer in sept 2022.
It said that 20,000 points will come to my miles and more account, but the account number in the mail are my hilton member number.

I received that email this morning as well, but for some Alaska Air points I bought back on September 19th.

The transaction miles, date of purchase, and my account number were correct. But my email had more stuff afterwards, saying I can have benefits at Hotels and Cars by Points, Avis, and Priority Pass discounts. Each entity had a unclickable link.

Maybe Points is going to roll out special targeted promos you can click on because they are calling my purchase of miles a bundle.

I didn't purchase anything recently but got the exact same email as you. Your purchase of Bundle&Go was successful. 3,450 Miles will be credited to your Miles & More account. Information about how to use the benefits in your bundle, and a summary of your transaction is below:

so odd that this happened. I will just ignore it.

Thanks for allaying my fears that phishing had occurred or that someone had hacked my account.

I too got the strange email and it makes sense now that it’s related to a recent Radisson transfer.

It is true for me as well. I have made a conversion from Mariott Bonvoy points into miles (Flying Blue) in October. I will be waiting to see what happens.

In my case the email matches rail travel points purchased some time ago.

I got the email too. I have a recent Amex to Marriott points transfer, but I don't have a points.com account and the number of points transferred don't match. I still think it's some crazy scam!

I'm more intrigued by the fact that you have nearly half a million Radisson points when I can't even remember when or if I ever saw a Radisson review on this blog hah!

Yes, same. I recently transferred and purchased Marriott Bonvoy Points, and then I get this spam email from Bundle&Go tied to Miles & More. I'm checking my Bonvoy cc and Member account to see I wasn't hacked with fraudulent purchased.

Same here, bought IHG miles earlier this month and received the Miles and More about exactly that amount. Something is really messy with them.

Thanks for the write-up. I got the exact same Email. I bought Marriott Bonvoy points a few weeks ago to complete a stay using points. 🙂

I got the email also.... Also did a Radisson transfer this year.... Am relieved as a couple of my accounts have been hacked recently and I have tried to make sure everything else is secure.

I just got this same message today saying a purchase I didn't make to Bundle&Go on 10/17/22 will credit 375,000 miles to my Miles and More account. However the account number referenced is my Radisson Rewards Americas number. On 10/17/22 i did transfer 375,000 Radisson points from my Raddisson Rewards International account to my Radisson Awards Americas account. Weird

I agree. I mean, who in the world outside of Minnesota or Northern Europe has that many Raddison points? Why?

I got 2 of these. I have contacted everyone at Points.com but only get radio silence. It is clearly a glitch but the lack of information from Points.com is rather disturbing.

Thanks for the article, that explains the same email I got. I did purchase some Marriott-Bonvoy points a few weeks ago and got 2000 bonus points so it must relate to that.

Received Bundle&Go email about miles purchase. Spent sometime on email to see whether its leggit. Account number in the email doesn't match with my Miles & More, but matched with Flying Blue where I have purchased miles last month.

I got this email too and thought that it was a scam but you are correct, it was actually linked to a transaction that I made with Alaska Airlines on the date in my confirmation. Thanks for this quick article.

Yep. Number in the e-mail was my Hyatt number and date was the date I purchased Hyatt points and the number of points equaled the number of Hyatt points purchased. Out of curiosity, I did check my Miles & More account and found out Miles & More expired all of my miles so I was down to zero.

Thanks for posting this. My email was for an Aeroplan purchase last month and I wasn't afraid of hacking, just worried Lufthansa had hoovered up my Aeroplan miles into without my say so.

Got it as well. Said my credit card would be charged and I went right to Google.
It's my Bonvoy acct for points I bought for an upcoming stay. It was 10 October though. Wonder why so late. I made sure the trip posted to my app weeks ago and it did.

They sent an acknowledgement of the error

Hello,

Earlier today, we mistakenly sent you an email that was intended as a test and included details from a prior transaction you made with Points.

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and want to assure you that there were no charges made to your account and your information was not shared with anyone else.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to pointscustomersupport@points.com or visit our Points FAQ page.

Sincerely,

Points

Yup, it looks like Points.com followed up. Rather quickly, too, IMHO.

We are in the midst of claiming compensation from LH due to the Pilot strike in Sept. We are attempting to negotiate as the amount they offered in $ was not enough so I thought that this was possibly their way of adding to the offer? But I don't want M&M points!!
Then I realized the email had the correct name but did not come to the address LH is communicating with? I was stumped.
Thanks for posting this info because, YES, I did make a points.com purchase recently.
Let's wait and see

This explanation matches my email and recent Marriott points purchase exactly. Thanks for the explanation, I don't think I would have made the connection without your pointer.

Since quite some time, Miles&More has suspended any miles purchasing. I wonder if this policy is about to change. The design in the email looked quite professional (Bundle&Go In cooperation with Miles&More). Maybe this is something that Points.com plans to offer in the near future?

I got this - most likely due to purchasing some Virgin points recently. I don’t find the explanation in the email particularly plausible, it seems more likely sent in error, and related to the real previous transaction.

Their explanation is the same thing as your suggestion, just worded it a bit differently.

They were conducting an internal test using recent real transaction data and sent the test message in error.

Today I received an email from [email protected] (proper names) regarding a refund I requested on award ticket. Usually in the past they have refunded to method of payment credit card but this time they want bank info since their “system is down” does that seem legit? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
