Hello
I don't think you covered this funny development from Boom: https://boomsupersonic.com/superpower
From "we want to build a supersonic airliner but we don’t have an engine supplier yet” to “we’re going to make our own gas turbines and sell them to data centers". (Which even Musk wants to build for the same reason)
As it relates to that Air Canada post, aside from guessing those new routes (none of which seem to be to the US... *gestures broadly*), I'm curious how the current US-Canada (oh, let's call it...) 'trade friction' and 'dynamic political climate' (EUPHAMISMS!) are going to weigh on transborder traffic long-term. You have to imagine traditional leisure—like Canadian snowbirds heading to Florida—are taking a noticeable hit right now, outside of a very specific niche. Wonder if we'll see carriers further adjust capacity if these 'sentiments' linger.
A few weeks later, but dropping it here for those keeping any eye out for this type of thing. Accor Platinum (from the Bilt promo) to Qatar Gold. Worked for me at the beginning of August. Status hit prior to the flight as the author mentioned. oneworld Sapphire for a year. There’s a quota on the match, so not risk free. I was also able to quickly add Friends and Family or whatever it’s called. https://frequentmiler.com/how-to-get-access-to-airport-lounges-with-accor-elite-status/
