Bling it on: British Airways Terraces Lounge Seattle
The first thing I did when I woke up the morning of my flight was hop on flightaware.com to check the status of the inbound flight from London, given that I was expecting it would already be over the Atlantic. As it turned out the flight was delayed by over two hours, and hadn’t yet…

I was impressed with the BA lounge at SFO as well. Nice selection of snacks and clean/comfortable, polite staff, boarding available directly from the lounge.
Did you really genuinely enjoy the BA lounge? It is so underwhelming, for a foreign carrier's lounge. Crowded with packaged snacks. And to think it used to be the LH lounge too... The showers are nice, though.
I get a view of the BA flight come into town most days from my house. 4:30 usually. I'd love to fly it some day. Looking forward to seeing what I'm missing!
I'm with Jeremy on this...just how do I navigate to the tail number on Flight Aware? Anyone else know?
@ Pat+ -- I didn't actually think the lounge was great or anything, though for a US lounge it was nice enough.
@ Jeremy @ Jack -- Sorry, I misspoke. I was using the BA Dashboard to confirm that the flight was enroute to SEA.
I believe Asiana also uses this lounge, since that was the one assigned to us during our trip in the summer, although we were flying in business class.
All I remember was the bartender going around offering more champagne. 🙂
The first class lounge in Houston is definitely worthwhile, though small, it's totally separate from the business lounge and matches the LHR galleries first lounge interior.
@Andrew I love watching the Queen of the Skies come in. Last summer I was out on my fraternity's roof nearly every afternoon around that time. All my friends would roll their eyes when I'd point to the sky and say "Look, it's BA49!."
Lucky, next time use the two $19 refreshment vouchers on drinks 🙂 stock up on fiji water
What exactly do you do for a living? Do you have another job that allows you to do all this travel constantly? By my count, even with all the generous CC offers you should have burned through your points long ago.
@rick, consider the amount of people who read this blog and who contribute to advertising revenue. You don't need to ask how he affords it... Kinda rude to ask...
@ Jamison N -- Usually I would have, but I knew they'd be confiscated at Heathrow anyway, so it didn't seem worthwhile.
@ rick -- I'm a full time blogger (I generate revenue through ads and credit card links) and also offer a points consulting service (pointspros.com). I'm very fortunate that it pays the bills. As far as points go, they cost me very little, as I earn them mostly through credit card bonuses.
