Did you ever figure out why you were rebooked to this flight? What was the cause?
How did you get through security at Terminal 3 without boarding passes? (And was that the general security checkpoint or just the transit security for those connecting internationally?)
@ John -- I have no clue. The only thing I can imagine is that because of the delay the computer automatically rebooked me on the next available flight. I guess it didn't account for the fact that my connection was longer than needed and not shorter.
@ JM -- I wasn't asked for a boarding pass at any point.
@ blueline7 -- They gladly set a limo up for us upon arrival in Dubai. Didn't have to reserve it.
You did right, never look a gift horse in the mouth except to see what fare class it is!!!
Just curious do you find LHR or CDG more confusing? I know some people also don't care for FRA but since I rarely have connecting flights (except at LHR years ago) I haven't had trouble with any of them.
That lounge looked pretty nice.

I've always heard that ba is horrible with IRROPs. Doesn't seem the case here. Maybe they misread your connection time as AM instead of PM...
@ rich (arizona) -- Oh gosh, I hate both of them. I'd say Paris is more confusing. At London while the signage is clear, everything just takes longer.
@JM at LHR the transfer desks are beyond security so it is only T5 where you need to show a boarding pass to clear security if transiting.
I am travelling to Dubai in just over a month booked in business class for a work related trip.
My wife is booked in economy - I was wondering if you knew if I am able to take a guest into the lounge with me?
I just called Emirates and they said no, but I think given she is on the same flight, and I am flying in business class they would make an exception.
Do you know BC seats are allowed to take a guest? I was just hoping the lady on the phone was wrong!
