QR A350 New Economy Class, 3-4-3 Configuration?

QR A350 New Economy Class, 3-4-3 Configuration?

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hi there, I just checked out the manufacturer’s website for QR’s latest Economy seats (roll-out 2021…), see link below.

    http://www.optimares.com/quadra3.php

At the bottom of the page they have a comprehensive list of seating configuration by aircraft type. A350 is mentioned twice: Either 2-3-2 (19″ width), probably for Premium Economy on other airlines, and…3-4-3 (16″ width). There is no mention of 3-3-3 (18″ width) as per standard on the A350.

Part of the reason I love the A350 is that I thought it wasn’t feasible to implement 3-4-3. Airbus, I thought, found the sweet spot between the 787 and 777. New seat or not, I imagine squeezing in an extra seat and reducing the width to 16″ will lead to a pretty grim long-haul experience for most passengers.

Or perhaps, I should read it a different way: Maybe QR are rolling out 2-3-2 Premium Economy in 2021?!

Any thoughts or intel on the above? Thanks
