    Dear Lucky,

Do you think Emirates Airlines will start flying an A380 to Vienna? Here are my reasons to believe they will:

    a) Dubai is Vienna’s busiest International destination

    b) Emirates already flies two daily flights from Vienna to Dubai (UAE 129 and UAE 126) useing their 777-300ER

    c) Emirates just started flying to Prauge with their A380s, which means they are expanding their A380s to more EU cities

    d) Vienna Inernational Airport (VIE) just finished an expansion that now allows A380s to fly to VIE

I think Emirates will cut one flight to Vienna and fly an A380 on another. What do you think?

They’ve already done a test flight, I believe, so probably eventually.

Is there a lot of cargo on this route?

A380 does many thing well, cargo is not one of them, B777 are much better in that regard.

The rumor has it that there will eventually be one A380 and one B777 flight per day, probably due the balance of passengers/cargo, but I don’t know much in terms of specifics otherwise.
