To Keep or Not to Keep

    Hey,

Now that I got my Chase Sapphire Reserve card. Is there any reason to keep my Chase Sapphire Preferred Card?

    Thanks!

Nope, not for use purposes :).

I’d downgrade the card to either the Freedom or Freedom Unlimited. No annual fee for either card. If it’ll be your 2nd freedom card, that means potentially another 5x points on $1500 for the quarterly bonus or 1.5x on everything if you go with the Freedom Unlimited.

Like Gaurav said, not to use but if you’ve had it for awhile you may not want to close it to help lengthen your average age of accounts. You can always downgrade it to a Freedom/Freedom Unlimited.
