Skypass award on Air France

Skypass award on Air France

  1. Anonymous Guest

Just called Korean Air Skypass to book Air France ticket JFK to Paris in Feb 2017. The quote was for the expected 80,000 miles but the “taxes and fees” were almost $1100. Is that normal? It seems high to me and took alot of the appeal out of using miles to book the ticket since the base ticket is under $3K.

Hi Greg! It is, unfortunately, as Air France has fuel surcharges even on award tickets. It’s a bit ridiculous, but there are other redemptions you can plan that don’t have those fees — it just depends on the miles and the carriers.
