Hi – I would like to access the priority pass restaurants and the Amex lounge in T3 but my flight on delta to SLC leaves from T1. Are T1 & T3 connected airside by AirTran?

Nope, not connected airside. Plan for time to clear security when you go back to T1. Note that Amex Centurion SFO wont let you in unless you are connecting at SFO or within 3 hours of departure for your flight.
