Seattle Hotel Loyalty

Seattle Hotel Loyalty

  1. Anonymous Guest

I realize this is an extremely specific question, but would appreciate anyone’s insight. I am currently loyal to SPG and stay at the W when I am in Seattle for work, which is one to two times a month. With the Marriott acquisition of SPG I am looking to switch brands to be loyal to. I currently have gold with Hilton from the Amex Platinum and a ton of Hyatt points. Hyatt would be my preference, but neither the Grand Hyatt or the Olive 8 are in a great location for meeting with people – even if they only are only a couple blocks further north. I am hesitant to move to Hilton because of their redemption options, even though the Hilton Seattle is a similar location. I appreciate everyone’s feedback, I have been digging through this and thus far am tempted to just go with the Hyatt’s even though their location is not as ideal.

Since the acquisition was just announced, drastic changes are not yet expected. SPG is still a valuable program to be a part of and I wouldn’t make any loyalty changes until more information about the acquisition is available.
