Anonymous GuestI have the personal SPG Amex, and noticed this morning that my current SPG status is “preferred guest plus” rather than the Gold I have been for years by virtue of having the card. Similarly, my matched Marriott Gold is now Silver. I know there were upcoming changes to one’s status level on August 1, but this seems odd. Did this happen to anyone else? Is it likely tied to the merger, or do we think there’s just some other snafu going on? Was this supposed to happen and I just missed an email?
