Is it SOP for AA to jump out of order on Upgrades for employees

Is it SOP for AA to jump out of order on Upgrades for employees

Hey Lucky… curious what you know about this.

Flagship Lounge ORD agent confirmed that 4x Upgrades form ORD time NRT we’re confirmed for employees over EXP using SWUs.

This could be normal but seems to detract quite a bit from the rewards program and certainly makes an extra stop just to fly “AA operated” from a hub to a hub to a hub pointless.

Dan – I dont know if it is policy or not, but I can tell you, your experience is not unique. Have had similar experiences when I was EXP, oddly enough also out of ORD going to MAN, LHR, and NRT. If I had to guess, its all based on availability and who happens to be in the upgrade queue.
