As mentioned in another thread, I am looking to book from the East Coast to JNB with arrival on December 17th. I found Business Award Saver availability on December 15th from IAD-GRU-JNB in business class. Given that I want to use my Amex points, I figured I could just transfer to Aeroplan and book through them. However, when I search on Aeroplan it doesn’t pull up this flight.
I then called Aeroplan and they don’t seem to have the first half of this routing (IAD-GRU) loaded into their system.
Any explanation for this? This is really important to me and hope that I can work it out ASAP.

@senz what do you mean by loaded into the system? The don’t know that the flight exists or they can’t see award availability?
