First-time poster. Thanks for a great blog. I am AA Platinum and am traveling on AA from JFK-LHR. I am in C and my wife in Y. I am Platinum, she has now OW status. I called AA and asked if I could have her assigned complimentary MCE seats but they said that since we were seated in different cabins they could not link our reservations and she would have to pay for MCE.
Lucky, did you (or anyone else) have similar experiences or any recommendations in this situation?
