Emirates Aircraft Change

Emirates Aircraft Change

  1. Anonymous Guest

Lucky – My husband booked award tickets on Emirates. We booked the A380 via LAX. Today when checking our flight we noticed the return is now on a 777. I called and spoke with customer service and they state that the earlier A380 flight does not have reward seats available however, does have seats available in first class. They were unable to move us to the earlier flight. Any suggestions?

What class are your existing tickets?

We are booked in First Class using miles.

Did you use Alaska miles to book the award? If so, call Alaska and Emirates on a 3 way call and see if they can assist you. Equipment changes are not under your control and can be a valid reason for the operating airline to open up seats on another flight.

At minimum you have to constantly check for award space on the flight you want and then call to rebook when it does become available, and explain that because of an equipment change, you should not be responsible for any changes in award pricing (except for differences in taxes and fees.
