Earning BA Tier Points Without Flying

Earning BA Tier Points Without Flying

  1. Sam Z Member

I am 30 tier points away from renewing British Airways silver membership, but do not think that I will be able to fly any more before the end of my annual account year. However, I have seen fares on BA’s shorthaul business class between London and Glasgow that would earn me 40 tier points for around –128 GBP one way. If I buy the ticket and pay the fare but am not there to travel and am not present for the flight will I earn the tier points? Also, will I incur any no show fees?
    Thanks

If you don’t fly, you won’t earn any points (except those you earn for paying with a credit card).
