Disappearance of the Miles and More Mileage Calculator

Disappearance of the Miles and More Mileage Calculator

  1. Anonymous Guest

Miles and More have effectively hidden the Mileage Calculator ! At the moment, if I were to buy a ticket, I would have no way of knowing how many status miles I would obtaining through the planned flight.

Mile and More have removed their Mileage Calculator from their website. Access to this function is now only possible through tablets and smartphones (have computers and laptops become obsolete?).

But the reality is much worse as the Apps made available do not work. I tried to download the Apple app on my iPad and discovered that the App only works with iOS 10 or higher. My iPad has the latest available software but this is 9.35. My wife’s iPad works on iOS 11. But, mysteriously, the application does not download on her iPad either. We called the technical service of Miles and More. 20 minutes of attempts under the guidance of a technician led nowhere. The guy confessed that they are flooded with complaints.

It is fine to add additional ways of accessing information, but why eliminate from the website?

It smacks of a blatant attempt to make customers’ lives more difficult depriving them of information on the number of status miles accruing with each ticket. Probably the Star Alliance thinks that the Miles ands More programme is too generous. Raising the threshold for the access to Elite status would an honest, straightforward and transparent way to make any necessary change. Small tricks like hiding the Mileage Calculator are cheap.

Access to the Mileage Calculator from the website should be reintroduced immediately.

I would welcome the views of other Miles and More members
