Being assaulted in flight…

I never thought about the risk of being assaulted while in the air until I saw this article — http://www.slate.com/articles/double_x/doublex/2016/08/what_happens_when_sexual_assault_happens_on_a_long_haul_flight.html

Frequent travelers — What would you do if you were assaulted? What would you do if a fellow passenger were assaulted?

Not that I am endorsing it, but my close friend experienced something similar by her neighboring passenger from LAX to Sydney. She was woken up to find him trying to reach into her shirt, and she instinctively planted one straight to his face resulting in a bad bruise and a nose-bleed. The FAs came hurrying to locate the commotion and she explained what happened. Upon landing, he was taken away by security. On a side note, my friend was a soldier in the IDF at the time, so this guy messed with the wrong woman.
