Airline Fees

Airline Fees

Just a note to confirm that AMEX airline fee reimbursement worked! I used DL GCs to cover a portion of the cost for a flight, then used my AMEX Plat to pay for the rest and a few days later AMEX reimbursed me for the full $200! Thanks Ben.

Interesting. About a month ago it didn’t work for me; although I did call Amex and they agreed to apply the $200 credit (because the transaction says “Additional collection” so they didn’t really verify). But it was not automatic.

Per this Frequent Miler resource page you need to keep the gift card amounts under $50 and the airline fees under $200 for it to automatically credit.
