24 hour airline ticket cancel rule over weekend

pstm91 DiamondI know you have 24 hours to cancel an airline ticket without any penalties.
Can someone remind me if this applies to weekends? If I book a ticket at 9am on a Friday, do I have until 9am on Saturday or Monday to cancel?

Nope, it’s a flat 24 hours regardless of day of the week.

Some airlines also say 24 hours would be the end of the following day, based on the local time zone where your flight departs from, not necessarily where you make the booking. Just an FYI if you are booking a flight from somewhere other than where you live. Helpful to know if you’re setting a reminder or anything
