Conrad Hotel Hamburg Opening August 2025

Conrad Hotel Hamburg Opening August 2025

7

Germany doesn’t exactly have all that many luxury hotels, so it’s always exciting when we see new properties open. Along those lines, one property that we’ve been anticipating for some time finally has a website, though we’ll have to be patient a little while longer for the opening…

Basics of the Conrad Hotel Hamburg

At the end of 2022, we saw the closure of the Park Hyatt Hamburg. While the property wasn’t really up to the typical Park Hyatt standards, it was the country’s only Park Hyatt, and many of us really liked the property. At the time, it was announced that the hotel would undergo a renovation, and reopen as the Conrad Hamburg, as part of the Hilton Honors portfolio.

The Conrad Hamburg is now expected to open as of August 2025, but isn’t yet accepting reservations. Initially the hotel was supposed to reopen as of 2024, though unsurprisingly, there are some delays. The Conrad Hamburg is expected to feature 238 accommodations, including 25 suites and 32 residential suites. On top of that, the hotel will boast a restaurant, bar, spa, gym, and pool.

Below are the few renderings that currently exist of the Conrad Hamburg.

I’ll be sure to report back when the hotel starts accepting reservations.

I’m excited to check out this hotel!

While Germany certainly isn’t in the same league as France or Italy when it comes to attracting tourists, I think Northern Germany has a lot to offer, and I quite like Hamburg as a city.

I was a fan of the old Park Hyatt Hamburg, and it seems like quite a bit of money is being spent to update this hotel, which should take the property to the next level. What’s cool is that this hotel blends its historic roots (it’s located inside the historic Levantehaus building, initially built in 1912) with the modern comforts you’d expect.

Ultimately Hilton Honors’ luxury portfolio is growing nicely across the globe time. I of course still prefer World of Hyatt to Hilton Honors in terms of elite perks and the ability to get guaranteed benefits, but I’m always happy staying at a well regarded Hilton Honors property as well.

Bottom line

The Conrad Hamburg is currently expected to open as of August 2025, though isn’t yet accepting reservations. This property is replacing the Park Hyatt that closed in 2022, as the property is undergoing a substantial renovation. I look forward to checking out this hotel when it reopens!

What do you make of the upcoming Conrad Hamburg?

All i can say about hamburg is if you go you MUST visit the miniature museum if you want to feel like a giddy child. I spent half a day in there

The most important question is what type of animal toy will they give?

The hotel prices have gone up in Hamburg quite a bit over the last two years. I bet the Conrad Hamburg will not be the bargain that the Park Hyatt was - for many years it was a category 4 property with low cash rates.

If any of y'all end up going to Hamburg for this property or in general, do book at least two trips to Miniatur Wunderland. That in itself is a reason to visit Hamburg as it is truly a one of a kind exhibit.

      Why two trips?

But yes, it's an appeal for me to visit Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, and may plan around this opening (or once it's confirmed as opened)

It's a huge place and depending on the rate you go through all the exhibits it'll take at least two trips. Heck I spent an hour in the Swiss Alps & Knuffingen Airport exhibit alone! There's so much attention to detail in display, it's mesmerizing.
