Save On Hilton Hotel Stays With Amex Offers (Targeted)

The Amex Offers program often has promotions that can save you money on hotel stays, especially with co-branded credit card partners Hilton and Marriott.

We pretty regularly see Amex Offers deals for Hilton-family properties, given the close partnership between American Express and Hilton. We’ve just seen yet another new offer introduced, which complements a few offers that have been available for some time.

Best of all, these offers can be combined with any promotions being offered by Hilton Honors, including the current global promotion. Let’s go over the details of the offers.

Spend $1,250+ at select Hilton luxury brands, save $250

There’s a targeted Amex Offers deal for stays at Hilton luxury brands, including Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, and LXR:

• Save $250 when you spend $1,250+ across one or more transactions (up to 20% back)
• This is valid when you pay for your stay between July 3 and September 30, 2024
• This is valid for stays in the United States and select global destinations, and you can find eligible properties here
• The terms state that you need to book directly with Hilton to take advantage of this
• Registration is required

Save 5% on Hilton stays, up to $100

There’s a targeted Amex Offers deal for stays at all Hilton brands:

• Save 5% on one or more transactions, up to a total of $100
• This is valid when you pay for your stay between July 1 and September 30, 2024
• This is only valid for stays at Hilton properties in the United States; this isn’t just for the Hilton brand specifically, but for all Hilton family brands, except Hilton Grand Vacations
• The terms state that you need to book directly with Hilton to take advantage of this, and that it doesn’t apply to advance purchase rates (though I wonder if that latter point is enforced in practice)
• Registration is required

Note that this seems to be specifically available on select American Express business cards.

Spend $180+ at Hilton brands, save $40

There’s a targeted Amex Offers deal for stays at all Hilton brands (excluding Hilton Grand Vacations):

• Save $40 when you spend $180+ across one or more transactions (up to ~22% back)
• This is valid when you pay for your stay between May 8 and July 31, 2024
• This is only valid for stays at Hilton properties in the United States; this isn’t just for the Hilton brand specifically, but for all Hilton family brands, except Hilton Grand Vacations
• The terms state that you need to book directly with Hilton to take advantage of this
• Registration is required

Note that this seems to be specifically available to those with The Platinum Card® from American Express (review), as this is part of a 40th anniversary celebration for the card.

Spend $1,000+ at select Hilton all-inclusives, save $200

There’s a targeted Amex Offers deal for stays at select Hilton all-inclusive and vacation properties:

• Save $200 when you spend $1,000+ across one or more transactions (up to 20% back)
• This is valid when you pay for your stay between June 3 and September 30, 2024
• This is only valid for stays at Hilton all-inclusive resorts and vacation hotel properties in the Caribbean and Latin America, and you can find the list of participating properties here

Look for these offers on Hilton Amex cards

When there are Amex Offers deals for Hilton Honors properties, you can typically see the offers on any cards. However, ideally you’ll see them on a co-branded Hilton Honors credit card, so that you can earn bonus points for your hotel stay, while also qualifying for the statement credit offer. This includes the following cards:

• The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card (review) offers 14x points on eligible Hilton purchases
• The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass^® Card (review) offers 12x points on eligible Hilton purchases
• The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card (review) offers 12x points on eligible Hilton purchases
• The Hilton Honors American Express Card (review) offers 7x points on eligible Hilton purchases

Bottom line

There are several great Amex Offers deals that can save you money on your next stay at a Hilton-family property. We just saw the introduction of an offer for Hilton’s luxury properties, and prior to that, we saw the introduction of an offer for 5% back at Hilton properties in the United States. This complements a previous offer for select Hilton properties in the United States, as well as an offer for Hilton all-inclusives in the Caribbean and Latin America.
