Link: Apply now for the Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express
For quite some time now, two of my favorite Amex business credit cards have featured welcome offers. That might not sound that exciting, but these cards historically haven’t had publicly available bonuses, which is why this is noteworthy. These offers are still going strong, so if you don’t yet have one of these cards, I’d seriously consider applying.
In this post:
Amex Blue Business Card bonus details
The two Amex Blue Business Cards currently feature the following welcome offers:
- The Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express has no annual fee (Rates & Fees) and has a welcome offer of 15,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $3,000 within three months
- The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card has no annual fee (Rates & Fees) and has a welcome offer of a $250 statement credit after spending $3,000 within three months
While these bonuses might not seem huge, note that both of these cards didn’t previously have publicly available welcome offers, given how lucrative they are. Furthermore, these are no annual fee cards, and generally the best bonuses are on cards with higher annual fees.

Why the Amex Blue Business Cards are awesome
Personally I think the Blue Business Plus Card (review) is by far the more exciting of the two cards. The card offers 2x Membership Rewards points on the first $50,000 spent every calendar year (1x after that).
I value Membership Rewards points at 1.7 cents each, so to me that’s the equivalent of a 3.4% return. That’s incredible, and makes this one of the most lucrative cards for everyday spending, and one of the all around best cards for earning Amex points. Keep in mind you can combine all the points you earn between cards earning Amex Membership Rewards points.
The Blue Business Cash Card (review) is essentially the cash back version of the Blue Business Plus. It offers 2% cash back on the first $50,000 spent every calendar year. That’s a solid return for a cash back business card, and the best Amex business card for earning cash back.
However, I value one Membership Rewards point at significantly more than one cent, which is why I prefer the Blue Business Plus to the Blue Business Cash.

Bottom line
The Blue Business Plus Card and Blue Business Cash both have publicly available welcome offers, unlike before.
The Blue Business Plus is one of the all around best credit cards out there, so if you don’t yet have the card, this is a fantastic time to apply. The card is worth picking up for the ability to earn 2x Membership Rewards points on the first $50,000 spent every calendar year, so you might as well pick up the card while it’s offering a bonus.
Also keep in mind that anecdotally these cards are pretty easy to get approved for, and if you’re worried about staying below Chase’s 5/24 limit, these business card applications don’t count toward that.
Do you plan on picking up a Blue Business Card with these offers?
The following links will direct you to the rates and fees for mentioned American Express Cards. These include: The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express (Rates & Fees), and American Express® Blue Business Cash Card (Rates & Fees).
Got my first BB Cash in January, then the BB Plus in August.
Out of the blue (pun intended), AMEX offered me a 2nd BB Cash in August...$700 for 15K spend in 12 months + $100 per employee card for 1K spend in 3 months.
The AMEX phone rep said there is no limit to the number of business cards one can have.
