I just flew Singapore to Sydney last week on their 777. It didn't seem refreshed within the last year at all. I sat in economy and the seats were of the newer style with the larger TV screen, but the whole cabin and plane appeared a bit worn. I think only select flights will have these newer cabins.
Didn't really matter too much to me though since it was a overnight flight and I slept almost the whole way.
so if F is 1-2-1 and biz is 1-2-1 as well, the seats must be about the same... not much advantage for paying for F then, no?
@ Lantean -- Yep, as a relative matter the business class seat is much more impressive than the first class seat on the 777.
Lucky: Me and the GF are booked SIN-BKK-SYD on TG in F for May 2015. Should we try to get on SQ F ISIN-SYD?
We have not flown TG F and we will be flying SQ Suites (NRT-LAX) in June 2015.

Ben what's your secret to booking a380 suites class. I believe from reading your blog they only offer 1 seat per flight on miles. Are you booking 12 mo out or very very last minute? I have plenty of Amex and UR points and need to fly from Asia to NA, and my dates are semi-flexible in March but I can't find any date to JFK or LAX.
Care to share your secret.

@ De -- They eventually could, though it hasn't been announced one way or another.
@ rahul -- Nowadays they're releasing two Suites Class seats per flight on many routes. Typically best to book far in advance.

I actually prefer the original Suites seat upholstery. The color palette looks so warm and inviting.
