What Is TSA PreCheck, And Is It Worth It?

TSA Precheck is a godsend, and yes it's worth it.

I have it through Global Entry, and it's a beautiful thing.

Global Entry, TSA Precheck are perfect to define that the USA is still the land of the free. But those who have money are freer than the others...

TSA global entry is adding no fee for children under 18. All this will do is make longer precheck lines. TSA already keeps complaining that they don’t have the money for resources. How’s this policy gonna help?

And why is it I can get thru EU airports faster despite not being a EU citizen or resident? Even passport control is faster. Ridiculous.

Last month I booked Delta Comfort to JFK for me and my buddy. I had TSA Precheck on my boarding pass and he did not. My return trip to SD from EWR in United F with my lady friend, we both had TSA Pre on our boarding passes even though she is not enrolled as was my buddy. Go figure.

SD Ron, I have had TSA Pre for over 10 years now. On my airline profiles with all airlines I fly information includes my TSA number. After reserving a flight, not all times is my TSA Pre shown on my confirmation. I just call the airline that issued my order that my TSA Pre is missing. I usually get that my TSA number must have been shown when the flight was confirmed. While I think "bullcrap" I will ask an airline agent to kindly add TSA Pre to my boarding pass. Just something to check when flight arraignments are made.

Last couple of times, my travel buddy has piggy backed on my TSA Precheck account. Happens when I make the reservation for both of us.
I feel a contributing factor is our age (66+); therefore, lower risk. I double check when it's time to print the boarding passes (yes, we like paper as a backup) as well as the boarding passes on my phone.
