@ Vani -- Not a slow news day at all, I cover Amex Offers deals when they're airline or hotel related.
@Ben - unrelated, did you catch that the $250 semi-annual The Edit credit on the CSR is a one time credit? In other words, if you book something for $200, you’ll get a $200 credit and forfeit the remaining $50 even if you were to book another The Edit hotel in the same half year period. Perhaps a niche issue given that The Edit hotels are likely to cost more than $250, but still seems extremely stingy on Chase’s part.
Thanks for sharing this as well, Ben. Got it on my Amex Platinum as well (just like the recent B6 offer); again, 5x MR is sweet plus any additional discounts. I must say, though, these recent Amex Offers in-tandem do kinda feel like 'shots fired' by Amex at Barclays (which has the co-branded cards for both F9 and B6).
Anyhoo... yeah, a 25% discount is gonna beat whatever the Barclays Frontier Mastercard has going for it. Haven't flown them personally in about 20 years, but know of folks who do, regularly, mostly because of the dirt-cheap fares and direct flights between unique city pairings (TPA-PHL). The only issue they may face is that spending $200 on Frontier isn't easy when the tickets can be as low as $39. Bah!
For Amex being such a premium brand, I'm always surprised by some of the Amex offers. Frontier credits on the same card that offers FHR collection, deals on international business class, etc.? Just seems like some weird brand partnerships. Not to mention Amex's huge partnership with Delta.
