The Amex Offers program sometimes offers savings or bonus points on flight purchases, which can represent a great deal. We’ve just seen a new offer introduced that can save you money on the cost of a Frontier Airlines purchase — this could be a good opportunity that could make a ticket on an ultra low cost carrier even cheaper.
Spend $200+ with Frontier, save $50
A new targeted Amex Offers deal has just been rolled out, which offers a $50 statement credit when you spend $200+ on a Frontier Airlines purchase. This is valid for purchases through December 31, 2026.
That’s the equivalent of up to 25% back on a Frontier flight (if spending exactly $200), which is awesome. There are some basic conditions to this offer that are worth being aware of:
- You need to spend $200, but it can be in one or multiple transactions
- You have to make your purchase directly with Frontier, either via flyfrontier.com or the Frontier mobile app
- If you make a flight purchase, the flight must originate in the United States, and be charged in USD
- You need to be charged for your flight purchase by December 31, 2026, but there’s no need to actually travel by then
- The offer is valid for in-flight purchases, baggage, pets, cancelation and change fees, and business and group travel
- This offer excludes all purchases with third parties, affiliates, partners, travel insurance, rental cars, hotels, airport transfers, tours, activities, and gift vouchers
Use this offer to generate Frontier flight credits
Keep in mind that Frontier no longer has change fees on many types of fares (Economy Bundle, Premium Bundle, Business Bundle, etc.), so you could always book a $200+ ticket, and if your plans change, that balance would stay in your account, and would be valid for 12 months. This of course assumes that you don’t have any immediate travel that you’re planning anyway, where this could come in handy.
Also be sure you maximize rewards by ideally finding this offer on an Amex card that offers bonus points on airfare purchases, since that will allow you to earn the statement credit and as many points as possible.
Bottom line
There’s a new targeted Amex Offers deal that can save you $50 on a Frontier Airlines purchase of $200 or more. This is an excellent deal, and when you factor in the statement credit and value of points, this can potentially get you quite a bit off a Frontier purchase.

For Amex being such a premium brand, I'm always surprised by some of the Amex offers. Frontier credits on the same card that offers FHR collection, deals on international business class, etc.? Just seems like some weird brand partnerships. Not to mention Amex's huge partnership with Delta.

I must say, though, these recent Amex Offers in-tandem do kinda feel like 'shots fired' by Amex at Barclays (which has the co-branded cards for both F9 and B6).
Anyhoo... yeah, a 25% discount is gonna beat whatever the Barclays Frontier Mastercard has going...

Haven't flown them personally in about 20 years, but know of folks who do, regularly, mostly because of the dirt-cheap fares and direct flights between unique city pairings (TPA-PHL). The only issue they may face is that spending $200 on Frontier isn't easy when the tickets can be as low as $39. Bah!
