As always, I'm loving your trip report. I have a question about "pre-ordering" meals. Do you know if this can be done on LH in First?

Perhaps others. But saldy not Lufthansa (though I am in general a fan of Lufthansa's first class meal service).

As Gary said, Lufthansa unfortunately doesn't offer any pre-order meals, other than those for dietary restrictions, which wouldn't be any good. People either seem to love or hate Lufthansa first class food, and I happen to love it....

Just having a laugh about your spa experience. What kind of treatment did you guys have? Did you have male or female therapists? Were the fishnet underpants the size of briefs or shorts? I am guessing you felt they were too transparent. Could you not have worn your own underwear? Due to sports injuries, I need massage treatments every so often and I have been to various places. In some of them, I am asked to wear my underpants, in others a towel and in a couple, nothing. You wouldn't feel relaxed if you had the treatment I received last time. She was really brutal and I am sure what she did to me constitutes torture but after recovering a few hours later, my muscles worked pretty well. Sadly the effect didn't last long and I must schedule another appointment, perhaps a pampering one like yours.

@ John -- It was a (legit) full body massage from female therapists. The fishnet underpants were like boxer briefs. They were literally transparent, so I don't even know what purpose they served. There didn't seem to be an option, although I guess if you raise a big stink they might back off. I didn't really have an issue with it, but just found it odd for such an international spa....

I went to HKG as well in late July and visited several of the F lounges at the airport for comparison. I had done some research beforehand on FT and had seen the positive reviews for the Thai F lounge in HKG. I was anticipating it quite a bit.

I stopped at the SQ lounge first as it is closest to security/immigration. Meh. Nothing to write home about there. Shared restrooms with J class. None too exciting food & drink. They had a few internet terminals though which was good.

Then the long trek off to the TG lounge. Upstairs and pretty disappointed I must say. The open feeling of the balcony was cold and noisy. J class is basically on the other side of a screen. Not very cozy.

I was flying LH F to FRA (the afternoon flight) and they give you an invitation to the UA RCC so I went off there and was very, very impressed. I know you only got a quick glance but you missed the fantastic shower rooms they have. Not huge but still nice. The ORD and SFO UA flights had already called for boarding by the time I was there so I had the entire place to myself.

I'm not a *A kind of guy but I definately liked that HKG RCC the best.
