While plans for this were announced earlier this year, Hyatt’s newest (hopefully luxury?) property in Italy has just opened. In peak season this might also just be one of the most expensive Hyatts in the world.

The only Destination Hyatt I have stayed at and could compare to is The Shay in LA (Culver City). While I love this property and it's become my go to there, it's nowhere near the luxury of what this hotel appears to be. 7Pines looks far more like Alila level to me. Strange category choice.

Very excited to see this as I’m headed to the 7Pines Sardinia as a Globalist in September for 4 nights with my wife for part of our honeymoon. Used a suite upgrade to block a Sea View Suite, and excited for the on-site beach club. Happy to share thoughts here after, including the “Destination” designation compared to other Hyatt properties!

Destination is an interesting collection of properties. The majority seem to be condo type residences, but then there are also the city hotels like the Shay and some resort hotels that aren't condos. I understand that many of these were already branded as Destination before being integrated into Hyatt, but going forward, I wonder why they don't try to refine the brand standards a bit, especially given the disparity in quality of properties. Some of the ones i've stayed in have been quite nice, but others (like the Stonebridge Inn) are pretty dated and not even close to being in the same league as a property like 7Pines.

Feel like Destination brand is just an excuse for properties to skimp on Globalist breakfast.

Strange. The Shay has always extended to me free breakfast.

Weird. Agree this should more likely be unbound collection. Hyatt should straighten out the confusion between unbound and destination as there are equally a whole range of unbound properties that confuse me and go from super luxury to just a regular, slightly upscale hotel
