Hi Ben, do you have any explanation why China Airlines flights CI75/76 (TPE-FCO-TPE) today are flying over russian airspace ?!
@atzkowski That's a really interesting question. Best I can tell, there's nothing that would prevent China Airlines from typically flying over China enroute to the EU (unless I'm missing something), but instead, the airline seems to ordinarily voluntarily avoid it.
I'm not sure what would've yesterday to be different, though. Were there some strong winds, or airspace closures, or...? Anyone have any theories? Appreciate the question, and I'm curious as well!
