@Lucky, I received the 20% bonus - the bonus didn't disappear for me even though I logged on/off multiple times yesterday and today (but wouldn't recommend it for others since YMMV). Pulled the trigger so my husband and I can take the Turkish biz. from ATH to KUL. Woot! 😀
Good timing... booked an award on Air Canada from BOG to California that wasn't showing up on United or Life Miles. Only 10% bonus but it stayed available as I made two transfers to Etihad as well.
The catch appears to be that they're not offering the bonus to Canadians. At least not this one.
I have not tried it yet but assume that this is the universal irony. Amex Gold in Canada never offers a bonus to Aeroplan because it really only has two transfer partners so there is no competition since who wants to get Avios or Cathay Asia miles anyway?
But will try and see if I am happily incorrect 😉
