While these can be good at times and are better than nothing, you need to remember what offers are attached to what cards, and sometimes the limit on the refund/rebate is extremely low, such as $2 or $5. While that is better than zero, it isn't something I'm going to care about whether I get it or not.
Targeted on Green and Plat, but not gold or most unfortunately Aspire.
I’ll use the green and take my $40 and 750 MR points instead of the 3,500 Hilton points from using the aspire.

This is likely because in the US these are charged centrally, by Hilton, rather than at the property, so American Express cannot easily tell these are Doubletree or Tapestry charges
