American & Hyatt End Partnership: Not Much Of A Loss, Except Status Fast Tracks

Bummer. That double-dipping was a heck of sweet deal for the brief time it was active.

Sad. Between their devaluations earlier this year and now this, Hyatt is not going well, lately.

All of the mainstream US hotel loyalty programs are lackluster at this point. Partnerships like this don’t bring that much value IMO.

AA would be better off leaning fully into the AA Hotels platform, and developing an Amex Platinum-like FHR/HC set of benefits for their elites and cardholders.

Discoverist helped me get late check-out at multiple properties without any issues, but it won't be missed.
