Air France Restarting Flights To Dallas/Fort Worth
SkyTeam member Air France hasn't operated flights to Dallas/Fort Worth since early 2002, but has just announced that they will recommence nonstop flights from Paris to Dallas starting in March 2019, with the following schedule: -- AF150 departing Paris (CDG) 10:10am arriving Dallas/Forth Worth 1:50pm -- AF159 departing Dallas/Fort Worth 3:45pm arriving Paris (CDG) 8:15…

The A330 won’t be equipped by the reverse herringbone seat. Instead they’ll have the Equinox 2D of Stelia Aerospace. It will be full flat but in 2-2-2
And the A330 have not yet been refubirshed.
Will the first one be ready when the Dallas route is launched?
Let's hope AF commit to that.
That's insane pricing for a J award. Their product is nearly identical to American's and they're 57.5k for a biz saver award.
Kind of a coincidence that AF ended their first CDG service in 2002, since that’s when their partner DL was diminishing their DFW hub
@chub Ha. Probably realized the lack of connecting traffic. KLM used to fly there too, but terminated the route.
Being from Oklahoma, I'm excited. I can easily drive down to DFW and fly out on Air France. I love Air France, so I'm excited for this. I have an easier way to get to Paris now.
I don't think AF will send their BEST product to DFW. Even JFK still have the must avoid A380 seats.
It is not the BEST 1-2-1 product: https://thetravelersclub.boardingarea.com/exclusivite-amenagements-interieurs-airbus-a330-a350-dair-france/
Glad to see they are returning to DFW but I wish they were bringing the 777 with the new LaP on it, like Houston gets.
I just feel like Air France should be more committed in refurbish their fleet, they still have awful seats on their A380s and A330s which is such a shame considering many of these planes are sent to premium markets
The more carriers who think of the Dallas Metroplex as the business powerhouse it has become, not to mention 10th largest metro area, the better! I'd love to see an American carrier make some inroads into AA's sacred ground as well (UA are you listening?) We can support more than one domestic carrier).
One word about the great business saver awards ( 57K is great and I have used them many times): Don't forget about the three figure "fee" piled on-top of the tax by AF/KL on Transatlantics which can add over $600.00 to the cost of a R/T "free ticket"
@Mark
I think Delta would be much more likely to support a build up in Dallas over United, as they lack a Texas hub, plus they have some historic ties to the airport.
Hmmm. Not sure anyone who has experienced the nightmare called CDG and wildcat strikes would want to fly it.
@mark Dallas has two hub airlines. American and Southwest. Spirit is also competitive. The other carriers (Delta, United, Alaska) have let business markets tied up. No way another airline would find it financially feasible to invest in Dallas.
@Mark The Metroplex is the 4th largest metro area in the US, but agree on all the other points.
