Amex Offers: Save $40 On A $200+ Kimpton Stay

2

Amex frequently has promotions for hotel stays, which can save you money or earn you bonus points for stays you’d make anyway. The company has just rolled out its latest such promotion, which is one we’ve seen a few times before.

There’s a new targeted Amex Offer for $40 back when you spend $200+ at Kimpton properties in the US. The offer is valid for stays at participating properties through December 31, 2020.

You need to book directly with Kimpton or IHG to take advantage of this. There’s no requirement that the entire $200 be spent on one stay, so you should be able to earn the bonus based on cumulative spending over multiple stays.

This promotion isn’t valid for purchases at Kimpton restaurants, purchases at kimptonstyle.com, or for IHG Rewards Club points purchases. Furthermore, gift card purchases are excluded.

Let me once again emphasize that this promotion is targeted, though it at least seems to be pretty widely targeted for the cards that I have.

Since you’re booking directly with Kimpton you can still earn IHG Rewards Club points for your booking to get even more value. You can even combine it with IHG’s current global promotion offering up to 4x points, or IHG’s current new member bonus.

Do you plan on taking advantage of this Kimpton Amex Offer?

Ben, do you think this would work towards the Buy/Renew Ambassador Membership?

That $40 will pretty much cover the resort fee that Kimpton has started instituting at all their hotels. Cool, I guess?
