Amazing Deal: Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones For $125

This is a great deal that won’t last. For Amazon Prime Day, it looks like you can buy Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones for just $125 (and potentially even less, as I’ll explain below). The normal price for these is $279.

You can potentially save even more if you use the Amazon trick I shared earlier, where you register on this page and use one Membership Rewards point. That would knock 20% off the price, and the craziest part is that it knocks 20% off the original price, rather than 20% off the discounted price, meaning it brings down the cost to about $75. That’s a crazy deal for some of the best headphones out there.

I’d note that this isn’t the latest generation of Bose headphones, as there are now Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Headphones (review here). However, I don’t actually find that their sound quality is noticeably different, but rather they’re just wireless.

If I didn’t care whether the headphones were wireless or not, I’d pick up the Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones in a heartbeat, as they’re still among the best out there. Even if you want wireless headphones, this could still be a great deal, as you could pick up this this wireless adapter to essentially turn them into wireless headphones.

  1. i saw this deal but i want the wireless headphones instead, but this is a huge saving that pairs excellently with the amex 20% off!

  2. Holy ****! I also had the Whole Foods Prime Day $10 discount from groceries this weekend, so I picked up 2 pairs for $70 + tax each! Thanks SO much for this insane deal alert, Lucky!

  3. How are you guys getting price for $75??? my cart shows:
    $198.00
    Shipping & handling: $0.00
    Deal of the Day: -$73.00
    Amex 20% Off: -$39.60
    Total before tax: $85.40

  4. The discount is larger when you get the version for Apple. Anyway to get the similar discount and get the Android version?

  5. I don’t understand why I’m not eligible for the Amex 20% offer. I have 2 Amex MR-earning cards linked to Amazon account and can use them to make purchases. But when I click the link to sign up for the 20% promo, it says I’m not eligible. Would have loved to take advantage of it here.

  6. Bose headphones are not “among the best out there” for sound quality. They may do a satisfactory job at blocking out background noise but other than that they are just a very effectively marketed product. Most audiophiles would tell you that they have terrible sound quality.

I would suggest if you have the time/effort to get Logitech Ultimate Ears which are fitted specifically for your ears. The sound quality will blow you away in comparison and it blocks out all sound by brute force (since they are in ear). There are also many other high end products which are significantly better.

Having said all that, for the price listed above it’s not bad.

  7. Thanks for this, Ben. I’ve been looking to pick up a pair for a little while (the wireless ones) but for one reason or another haven’t. This is a no brainer. You da man!

  8. Got em! Thanks, Lucky. I’ve been keeping an eye on them, and was hoping to get them for sub $150, so I’m thrilled that they’ll be delivered tomorrow for under $75!

  9. Just got two for $152. Went to Whole Foods spent $10 and got the $10 off prime day bonus.

    Order Summary
    Item(s) Subtotal: $558.00
    Shipping & Handling: $7.98
    Free Shipping: -$7.98
    Deal of the Day: -$308.00
    Whole Foods -$10: -$10.00
    Amex 20% Off: -$100.00
    Total before tax: $140.00
Estimated tax to be collected: $11.55
    Grand Total: $151.55

  10. I just bought three pairs for $290. That is about $92 a pair – not $75. I applied 1 Amex point to the purchase and received an Amex ‘20%’ discount of $100. Is the discount capped?

  11. @ Nicolas Roscoe — Had you used the promo before? You’re capped at a total of $100 in savings (so $500 in purchases).

  12. @Lucky – Just to clarify, the cap is indeed a $100 discount, but “$500 in purchases” may be confusing, because 3 of the Apple versioned QC25 would be below $500 in purchases, but you’d actually hit the cap even before finishing buying the second pair, because the discount is based off the $278 list price.

  13. Hi All,

For anyone based in the UK or Ireland: I signed up for Prime for 30 days free (already had an Amazon Account). Then I re downloaded the App and signed in and I received a $10 sign up bonus. I am registered with the main postal service here in Ireland (same for the UK) who will give you a US address and deliver to your Irish/UK address for £10/€15.

So all in all the headphones cost me $122 (factoring in the discount – also no AMEX cards available in Ireland) plus the €15 delivery fee so c.€120. They retail at €275 in Dublin. I paid using my Bank of Ireland Mastercard which is linked to my Supervalu Account which means I get around 120 avios points. Every little helps 😉

Thanks for the tip Lucky 🙂

  14. Amazon isn’t letting me use Amex points to make purchases today. It normally works, but isn’t during Prime Day. How convenient.

  15. Hell ya! Amazing tip. Love it! Also, used the Amex trick for discounts on a few other items. Thanks, Ben.

  16. Read the customer reviews!
Apparently the battery life is inferior to the QC15 and the wires underneath the folding bracket tend to wear quickly and break with repeated use.
Most are advising to give this model a hard pass and get the QC15 which is cheaper and far more robust.

  17. Unfortunately, I was not qualified for the AMEX offer, but I still got it as it is one heck of a nice deal.

  18. Got a pair for my daughter. Great price. I have the QC15 model bought in 2009 – they were $299 at that time. I recently replaced the ear-pads since they fall apart over the years of use and now look and work like new. The QC25 sound good enough for use in-flight and at these prices I wouldn’t worry about losing them!
