Want to take advantage of Dorchester Diamond Club benefits, including a room upgrade, complimentary breakfast, a hotel credit, and more? Contact Ford ([email protected]) for more details. He may even be able to help if you already have a stay booked.
Dorchester Diamond Club is an invitation-only program for select travel agencies, and is the best way to book a stay at a Dorchester Collection property. The idea is that a travel advisor affiliated with Dorchester Diamond Club can get you the best available rate, while also adding VIP perks, ranging from a property credit, to a room upgrade, to breakfast, without it costing you extra.
In this post I’d like to go over all the Dorchester Diamond Club details, including the benefits, participating hotels, rates, and how to book these stays.
It’s common for luxury hotel groups to have these kinds of programs, and separately I’ve covered Accor Preferred, Belmond Bellini Club, Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Hilton for Luxury, Hyatt Privé, Mandarin Oriental Fan Club, Marriott STARS, Oetker Collection Pearl Partner, Peninsula PenClub, Rosewood Elite, and Shangri-La Luxury Circle.
Dorchester Diamond Club benefits
For reserving Dorchester Collection hotels through a travel advisor affiliated with Dorchester Diamond Club, you’ll receive a property credit, upgrade, daily breakfast, early check-in and late check-out, and welcome amenity. Let’s look at that in a little more detail.
$100-$200 hotel credit once per stay
Dorchester Diamond Club offers a $100-$200 property credit once per stay. The amount varies by property and room type, so you’ll want to check with your travel advisor to see what’s available.
This can generally be used for dining, spa treatments, etc., though exact policies and exclusions vary by hotel. The credit is the equivalent of that amount in foreign currency, for hotels outside the United States, and the conversion rate is determined by the hotel.
Complimentary daily breakfast
Dorchester Diamond Club offers complimentary daily breakfast for two guests per bedroom. The exact policy will vary by hotel, in terms of whether the benefit just offers a full breakfast, or a credit of a certain amount. Either way, it should cover the full breakfast. At most Dorchester Collection properties, this would otherwise retail for $100+ per night for two guests.
Room upgrade, sometimes confirmed at booking
At most properties, Dorchester Diamond Club offers a confirmed one category room upgrade at the time of booking. This assumes that the category above the one booked is available. Note that there are some exclusions and limitations to this, so you’ll want to check with a travel advisor.
If the upgrade can’t be confirmed at the time of booking, an upgrade subject to availability at check-in is still available as a standard perk.
Early check-in & late check-out
Dorchester Diamond Club offers early check-in and late check-out, subject to availability. Priority is given to guests who book through the program, compared to guests who book in other ways.
Enhanced welcome amenity
When you stay at a luxury hotel, it’s standard to get a welcome amenity, which could include a snack, drinks, etc. For booking through Dorchester Diamond Club, you can generally expect an enhanced welcome amenity.

Dorchester Diamond Club participating hotels
Dorchester Collection currently has 10 hotels globally, with another two properties in the pipeline:
- In Europe, you’ll find 45 Park Lane, Coworth Park, Hotel Eden, Hôtel Plaza Athénée, Hotel Principe di Savoia, Le Meurice, and The Dorchester
- In the United States, you’ll find Hotel Bel-Air and The Beverly Hills Hotel
- In the United Arab Emirates, you’ll find The Lana Dubai
All of these properties participate in the Dorchester Diamond Club program.

Dorchester Diamond Club rates & how to book
Generally speaking, Dorchester Diamond Club benefits can be combined with any rate you’ll find directly with Dorchester Collection. So this could include the flexible rate, advance purchase rate, or even a rate that includes a third or fourth night free. However, note that they can’t be combined with any third party rates you find on other websites (though generally Dorchester Collection offers its best rates when booking direct).
Once you’re ready to move forward with a Dorchester Diamond Club booking, here’s the process:
- You’ll want to reach out to an eligible travel advisor with your preferred dates and details, including the number of guests
- The travel advisor can confirm the rate and benefits for your stay, and if you’re ready to move forward, you’ll need to provide the guest details and credit card for the booking
- The travel advisor will then confirm the reservation for you, and you’ll receive a confirmation email directly from Dorchester Collection, and will still be billed directly by the hotel
If you have a Dorchester Collection property in mind and would like help with a Dorchester Diamond Club booking, Ford and his team are more than happy to help, and don’t charge fees for these bookings. You can reach out to them at [email protected]. In some situations, Dorchester Diamond Club perks can even be added to existing reservations.
Note that there’s no way to book a Dorchester Diamond Club rate without a travel advisor, though there is one thing that could further simplify the process. Specifically, the TravelWits portal lets you book Dorchester Diamond Club rates directly.
You’re still booking through a specific travel advisor’s platform, but it’s great to be able to compare rates. You can instantly look up prices here, and then easily book your own reservations, without needing to deal with a human (if that’s your preference). These portals do have to be password protected, so if you’d like to use Ford Beckett Travel’s portal, you need to email [email protected] to request the password.

Dorchester Diamond Club vs. Virtuoso bookings
I think it’s worth briefly mentioning that beyond the individual hotel preferred partner programs (like Dorchester Diamond Club), there’s also Virtuoso. Virtuoso is a preferred partner program that covers 1,500+ luxury hotels around the world, and also offers perks. Online bookings are also possible.
So, how should you decide whether to book through Dorchester Diamond Club or Virtuoso? The short answer is that virtually every travel advisor with access to Dorchester Diamond Club should also have access to Virtuoso, and can advise as to which offers better perks.
In a vast majority of cases, you’ll find better perks through Dorchester Diamond Club, as the program potentially offers larger credits, confirmed upgrades, and more. But this is something a travel advisor can advise you on.

Dorchester Diamond Club FAQs
