The Amex Offers program has just rolled out two great targeted offers for the purchase of Virgin Atlantic flights, which could be worth considering for anyone planning a transatlantic trip.
In this post:
Spend $2,000+ with Virgin Atlantic, save $300
With a new targeted Amex Offers deal, you can earn a $300 statement credit when you spend $2,000 or more with Virgin Atlantic by December 31, 2024.
There are some terms to be aware of:
- The flight needs to be booked directly through the Virgin Atlantic website
- The flight needs to originate in the United States and be charged in USD
- While you need to book by December 31, 2024, it’s okay if you travel on subsequent dates
- The offer is not valid for purchases by phone, at terminals, lounges, or on-board flights
It’s possible that there’s also a version of the offer for 30,000 bonus Membership Rewards points if spending $2,000+. If so, I’d definitely prefer that offer, since I value Amex points at 1.7 cents each, so those points would be worth $510 to me.
While I can’t guarantee it, I suspect that carrier imposed surcharges on award tickets will likely trigger this offer, given that they should be processed the same as any other airfare purchase.
Spend $1,200+ with Virgin Atlantic through Amex Travel, save $200
There are actually two targeted Amex Offers deals that can save you money with Virgin Atlantic, with the second one being for bookings through Amex Travel. Specifically, you can earn a $200 statement credit when you spend $1,200 or more on Virgin Atlantic via Amex Travel by November 30, 2024.
There are some terms to be aware of:
- The flight needs to be booked through Amex Travel, either through the website, the app, or by phone
- The itinerary needs to be marketed and operated by Virgin Atlantic
- While you need to book by November 30, 2024, it’s okay if you travel on subsequent dates
- The offer isn’t valid for flight and hotel packages
Bottom line
There are two currently two targeted Amex Offers deals that can save you money on a Virgin Atlantic trip. One offer can save you $300 when spending $2,000+ directly with Virgin Atlantic, while another offer can save you $200 when spending $1,200 on Virgin Atlantic flights through Amex Travel. If you’re planning travel on Virgin Atlantic, this has the potential to be a great deal.
Were you targeted for these Amex Offer deals, and if so, do you plan on taking advantage of them?
I also have a $200 off $1200 on Eva airlines as well. A few good offers available, considering it’s 5x earnings on the card.
Can you stack both the offers? Booking on amex travel for a 2K flight, triggering both offers?
Did you get both offers?
