While this isn’t the most exciting deal ever, Katie Genter flags a good opportunity to potentially both earn some AAdvantage miles (including Loyalty Points) and save on purchases with Uber and Uber Eats.
In this post:
SimplyMiles offering AAdvantage miles with Uber
SimplyMiles offers opportunities to earn bonus AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points with select retailers when registering and paying with a Mastercard. The program has all kinds of targeted offers, so you have to log-in with your AAdvantage account and then register your cards for each offer.
Through November 30, 2022, we’re seeing two (widely) targeted offers for Uber, which require registration:
- Earn 235 AAdvantage miles when you spend $15 or more with Uber
- Earn 465 AAdvantage miles when you spend $25 or more with Uber Eats
Not only would this offer earn you bonus AAdvantage miles, but these miles would also qualify as Loyalty Points, which is how you qualify for elite status with American Airlines.
This can of course be stacked with the ability to earn Marriott Bonvoy points with Uber. That’s automatic if your accounts are linked. Furthermore, this doesn’t include the rewards that you usually earn for credit card spending.
Citi Merchant Offers with Uber
The above offer in and of itself might not sound that exciting, but there’s a stacking opportunity here. The Citi Merchant Offers program is available on Citi Mastercards, and this is similar to Amex Offers or Chase Offers. You can find these at the bottom of your card account summary, or by logging in at this link.
Through November 30, 2022, we’re seeing two (widely) targeted Citi Merchant Offers deals for Uber, which require registration:
- Save $10 on a ride with Uber
- Save $10 on a $25+ purchase with Uber Eats
When you stack these offers, you’re potentially looking at a pretty great deal. Sure, I’ll take $10 back and 465 AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points for $25 worth of spending with Uber Eats!
Bottom line
At the moment we’re seeing both SimplyMiles and Citi Merchant Offers promotions with Uber and Uber Eats, which is a great way to earn AAdvantage miles (including Loyalty Points) plus statement credits for spending.
Often these deals are so low value that I don’t even bother, but when you combine these two offers, I think this is worth taking advantage of, assuming you’re eligible.
Are you eligible for these offers, and if so, do you plan on taking advantage of them?
Well, is it stackable With AmEx Platinum $15/month Uber credit? ;-)
Probably with a monthly switch of cc. But I usually just use Uber for the ride getting the credit then switch to Lyft, which just announce a tie in with some program Where’s my spread sheet
@Lucky looks like these very. With SM I’m getting 465 for Uber (not eats) with no minimum, up to four times. My Citi offer is also up to four times. This means I can get 4 essentially free $10 Uber rides and 1860 miles/lps.
*vary. If twitter can get an edit button can’t you? Lol
Global Offer or only NA?
