World Of Hyatt Double Points Promo At Hyatt Place & Hyatt House

World of Hyatt has just rolled out a promotion that’s intended to incentivize stays at its two most popular limited service brands…

Hyatt Place & Hyatt House double points promo

Thanks to a new promotion, it’s possible to earn double World of Hyatt points for stays at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties, which are two of Hyatt’s limited service brands. As you’d expect, there are some terms to be aware of:

• You must register between July 9 and September 15, 2024, and prior to completion of your first stay
• You must stay between July 9 and October 15, 2024
• This is valid for stays at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties worldwide
• You can earn up to 25,000 bonus points with this promotion (equivalent to $5,000 in eligible spending)
• It can take two to three weeks after check-out for bonus points to post to your account

For what it’s worth, World of Hyatt ordinarily offers 5x World of Hyatt points per dollar spent at these properties, so with this offer, you’d earn an extra 5x points per dollar spent. In other words, you’d earn a minimum of 10x points per dollar spent, not accounting for any elite bonuses or credit card spending bonuses.

For example, a World of Hyatt Globalist member paying with the World of Hyatt Credit Card (review) or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card (review) would be earning 15.5x points per dollar spent at these properties, under this promotion. Personally I value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents each, for what it’s worth.

Hyatt’s interesting approach to promotions

World of Hyatt’s last global promotion ended in late April 2024. Since then, we haven’t seen the program offer a promotion valid at all properties. That’s not totally unusual, since it’s common to see Hyatt skip a global promotion in summer, given the amount of leisure travel demand, and then resume global promotions in the fall.

However, what I do find interesting is just how many brand and region specific offers we’re seeing from the program. For example, I’ve written about how World of Hyatt is offering double elite nights at Thompson Hotels and Dream Hotels properties, and double elite nights plus 1,000 bonus points per night at full service Hyatt properties in Florida. Now we can add yet another promotion to that list…

On the one hand, I can see the logic for that, as Hyatt wants to incentivize stays at the brands and in the regions that are presumably most in need of extra bookings this time of year. On the other hand, one has to wonder if having so many specific promotions causes confusion more than anything else.

Bottom line

World of Hyatt is offering double points at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties this summer and early fall. With this, members who register can earn an extra 5x points per dollar spent at these hotel, which I value at an incremental 6.5% return. If you have any upcoming stays at eligible properties, I’d highly recommend registering ASAP.
