Targeted Amex Platinum Card 100K CardMatch Offer Still Available

In the interest of full disclosure, One Mile At A Time earns a referral bonus for anyone that’s approved through some of the below links. These are the best publicly available offers that we have found for each card. Opinions expressed here are the author's alone, not those of the bank, credit card issuer, airlines or hotel chain, and have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by any of these entities. The CardMatch Tool, which is offered by, often gives people access to bigger targeted card welcome bonuses. In order to use the tool you have to enter your name, address, and last four of your social security number, and based on that, it may make certain targeted offers available to you.

Last November I wrote about how there was a targeted 100K welcome bonus on the Amex Platinum Card through the CardMatch Tool. The bonus stayed around for a while, then it seemed to disappear for a while, and then it returned again in February. Then in early April it seemed to make another return.

Every time I write about it I know a bunch of new people apply, so I’m not sure if they just make more people eligible periodically, or if a lot of people just didn’t check the previous times to see if they were targeted.

As noted by Miles To Memories, the CardMatch Tool continues to show this incredible 100K point offer, so if you haven’t yet applied and are eligible, I’d highly recommend doing so.

To see if you’re eligible for this welcome bonus of 100,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $5,000 within three months, enter your info through this link. You might have to click on either “Pre-Qualified” or “CardMatch Special Offers” on the left side of the page to find this offer.

This is significantly better than the current publicly available bonus of 60,000 Membership Rewards points.

Again, this is targeted, so not everyone will be eligible. However, in general it makes sense to check the CardMatch Tool periodically to see if you’re targeted for any offers. Hopefully some of you are eligible for this 100,000 Amex Platinum Card offer and can take advantage of this.

The $550 annual fee Amex Platinum Card is one of my all around favorite credit cards, and comes with so many awesome benefits, including:

Get access to Amex Centurion Lounge with your Amex Platinum Card

If you are targeted for this offer, then I highly recommend taking advantage of this killer deal. The CardMatch Tool may also have targeted offers for some other cards (including the Amex Premier Rewards Gold Card, which sometimes offers a targeted welcome bonus of up to 50,000 points), so I recommend checking it out to see what you’re eligible for.

Were you targeted for an Amex Platinum Card 100K offer (or anything else interesting) through the CardMatch Tool?

  1. I never seem to be targeted for these offers. Can folks here who are targeted tell us what kind of amex cards they currently have and what they’ve had in the past?

  2. I was NOT targeted and have never seen any Amex cards on here.

    My Amex cards:

    Business Gold (canceled)
    Business Blue Plus
Amex Everyday (downgraded from Amex Everyday Preferred)
    SPG Business

  3. My suspicion? 5-10 years ago, I put myself on all “stop sending me direct mail” lists I could get my hands on so I wouldn’t receive any credit cards offers. I wonder if that is why I never see any Amex cards.

Maybe Cardmatch is knocking on Amex’s door and Amex is all, “We don’t know her.”

    *shakes head while smiling*

  4. I did check the last time this was mentioned on here and am targeted for the offer. I haven’t applied yet though mainly because I can’t figure out how to get any value out of the airline fee credit. I’ve never had an Amex card in the past other than corporate cards.

  5. I was finally targeted this time around and signed up. I have only ever had (and still have) the SPG Amex.

  6. I was targeted for the 100k point AmEx Platinum signup bonus back in Feb, but not today, despite having a higher credit score this time around… still debating on whether it’s for me in the meantime, I suppose.
