UK Passenger Taxes

I recently booked a business class flight on BA with AA miles from
TLV to ORD, with an overnight layover in London of 15 hours. The total taxes on the ticket are $295, but I’m unclear where those come from since my stopover is less than 24 hours. Is this something I can get refunded?

@Johnmcg — Are you flying British Airways? Those are likely the BA fuel surcharges. You can call American and ask them for the breakdown of the fees if you have any concerns.
